Board of Directors

A 19-member Board of Directors governs the Sacramento Convention Visitors Bureau, meeting monthly to review and approve staff-proposed programs, goals and objectives and set Bureau policy. Directors are Bureau members representing all segments of the local business community. A director serves for four years and can be re-elected at the end of each, not to exceed two consecutive terms.

The City Manager, Deputy City Manager, County Executive, County Director of Airports, Convention Center General Manager, Downtown Sacramento Partnership Executive Director, STBID chairperson, and the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce President & CEO or their designees are ex-officio non-voting members of the Board.

A chairperson, immediate past chair, vice-chairs, secretary, and a treasurer form the Board's Executive Committee. The committee meets as required with the power to act as the full board, with the exception of amending or repealing the Bureau bylaws.
